I’m playing Memories of Celceta and they absolutely massacred this song, the main theme of Ys IV. The melody is rendered as a comically bad MIDI that feels like a WIP that was never intended for release. It’s now the theme for a totally insignificant area and comes immediately after the best area theme in the game. Anyway here’s the much better Perfect Collection version

OMG I did not realize you were working on that, I am dying to play Dawn of Ys with the Perfect Collection OST
I'm actually doing it for Memories of Celceta, just because I'm so used to the PC Engine CD/Perfect Collection versions! I got sidetracked months ago, need to get around to finishing it
Oh that’s even better! Tbh…I like Celceta’s music fine overall but it really pales in comparison to the original and especially the Perfect Collection.
