It’s rare that I finish a game and feel strongly it’s one of the best I’ve ever played but this is one of those games. It’s an ambitious work, with the episodic structure allowing thecatamites to smartly tackle a wide range of satirical targets with his usual razor-sharp humor while growing increasingly daring in his experiments with form, structure and use of space. Meanwhile he brings excellent and concrete characters to the fore, with BB in particular acting as a very relatable and delightful guide through this world of murder. All the while the game absolutely bursts with creativity and manages to cut its humor and cute aesthetic with a surprising level of creepiness (it definitely earns the horror part of its comedy-horror moniker!) The darkly hilarious and ever-surprising final installment and the museum framing surrounding the collection help take this to the next level, not just a series of individual games but a coherent Single Work™️ that stands as thecatamites’ best.

Do you remember when I streamed Murder Dog IV: Trial of the Murder Dog and 10 Beautiful Postcards? It’s the same developer as those, its very much a walk around and see the sights and laugh at the jokes kinda game but with some horror chases as well
