i saw the tv glow (2024)
the more i think about it, the more i like it. i thought the last 15 minutes were devastating (that abrupt cut to credits was brutal), but now that i've sat with it and read other people's thoughts i can see how the ending could also be optimistic.
the relationship between the main two was my favorite bit
most definitely, a rare film worth watching twice. imho, second run solidifies that optimistic reading
I haven't seen this series, but that stripe pattern looks aaaaalmost like the bisexual flag 👀
its meant to be the trans flag i think but schoenbrun didnt want to be too obvious
I would highly recommend the film, but I give the caveat that it's deeply heartbreaking. That being said, it made me feel incredibly glad to be alive.
This movie punched me in the gut. And I thought the mid-point was the hardest hitting. And then the last couple minutes came to suplex me into the ground.
i think that it softly kisses you and then pushes its mouth into yours to break your teeth and then rapidly apologizes
That is quite a way to describe it, and yet I can’t say it’s completely inaccurate. It did leave me with a lot of pain that words cannot really fix
the way i got past it was i waited until everyone else was out of the house and then i screamed at the top of my lungs about it
