The first arc is just the entire might of a whole planet’s hyper-militarized police force repeatedly getting fucked up by one guy in a grimy little piece of shit scrap metal death trap of a robot on roller skates, and the corrupt police chief and his catholic bishop friend getting increasingly upset. It’s so good and also unlike Gundam (which I love very dearly) it doesn’t feel like it’s trying to sell me toys of the one (1) model of shitty robot it has so far
