"Lilah's posts were a huge source of relief during the development of DonPachi...it's no exaggeration to say Cave wouldn't exist without her posts"
— Tsuneki Ikeda

The discography of Siouxsie and the Banshees is shockingly consistent in its quality, much moreso than most artists, and out of all of them Peepshow is my favorite, and in general one of my favorite albums (it's framed on my wall!).

Throughout their career The Banshees veered from post-punk to psychedelia. With Peepshow they expanded their lineup and added orchestration, transforming themselves into a cinematic goth-pop band, a mode they'd stay in until they broke up in 1996. It's an exciting shift that led to some excellent tracks that felt like nothing the band had done before, including all-timer "Peek-A-Boo".

But "The Last Beat of My Heart" is maybe my favorite song on the album. It's a slow and lovely balland, and more than maybe any other Banshees song, pushes Siouxsie's vocals to the forefront and stands on the strength of her voice. Just so good
