started watching the fargo tv show and i'm not saying it's bad but it sure does make you appreciate that nobody does it quite like the coen bros.

I remember liking season 1 at the time (i was like, a teen) but it's so derivative in a weird way. Like obviously it's derived from the movie but it doesn't frequently feel transformative. but i haven't watched it in forever. and then season 2 ending is like active dogshit bomb going off in your mouth. Haven't really watched since then.
Uhhh anyways. Movie good as fuck.
yeah for real. the tv show has kind of divolved into quirkiness for quitkiness's sake, also without the deep empathy the coens show for thei characters. and that's not even going into the craft, which as you pointed out is FAR below the quality of the film
i thought s1 was just fine and s2 is probably good? i dont really remember. i REALLY enjoyed s3 but havent watched it since for some reason!
