I have a soft spot for the rudimentary action side-scrollers. Perhaps because the times were simpler then and with fewer alternatives or perhaps because we don't get a lot of them anymore, The Legendary Axe on TurboGrafx is a straightforward good time.

Its only differential is a charge attack that does more damage when held. Aside from that, you'll run into familiar caves, defeat some creepy crawlers and do the occasional boss fight. It looks good and looks good doing it. Easy.
