there will be a staff post tomorrow with details about read-only mode, data exports (including what will and will not be in them), the static-site-generator we're building to operate on the data exports (which unfortunately will not be ready in time but will be open sourced this week), and whatever else is relevant for the road.
as a reminder: if you are planning to make any Final Posts, you should plan to make them while your clock reads September 30. the site will go read-only when i get to my desk on the 1st. you can try to get in under the wire if you want, but if you aren't able to you can't say i didn't warn you.
