I am really glad the block function on cohost actually works. No cutesy "the person you don't want to see things from replied here. Are you suuuuure you don't want to read it?" They simply. Disappear.

Online, I do a little bit of art and a little bit of web design. Offline, I'm a children's librarian!

Upset that weird strangers exist even here; glad they can be blocked.
Fucka discord.
Hmm, no need to be upset, I think. This block in particular was more on the lines of letting someone who clearly needs to work through some stuff do so, just not where it comes into my feed. As I get older, I'm trying to spend less of my time/attention on subculture "drama" that I have no stake in. I see it less now than I used to, but I suspect that's a function of the age of the people I interact with, if anything.
one of the reasons i started being more active here is how useless the block function on twitter felt. if you block someone they should be obliterated
My girlfriend is still on Twitter, while I'm not, and the frequency with which I recognize her "have you heard about this bozo"-bozo is astonishingly low. My life is so much more bozo-free!
