The day I learned that there would be a 3DS Memorial StreetPass Community Meetup at PAX Australia in Melbourne was the day my eyes opened. Oh hey, I'm going to that! I should download all of the StreetPass Plaza games just in case! So I managed to go to Melbourne, despite otherwise being a ghost in your computer, StreetPassed as much as possible, and fell in love with it. Since not a lot of people get to do StreetPass as of late, I decided I wanted to write about its appeal, an exploration of the StreetPass Plaza games, and ruminating on why it hasn't been (and sadly probably never will be) brought back unless we do it ourselves.

in reply to @aprilghost's post:

This is a great article! The 3DS was released right when all of my money got tied up for college and I missed the entire gen, but I recall my sibling using streetpass a lot and it looked so fun. Sometime soon I wanna track down a 3DS and poke around, but my area's population density means streetpasses will probably be infrequent at best, which is a shame. There's something greatly appealing to the asynchronous gameplay and wondering who it was you passed who also had a DS in their pocket

if the amount of "CAN YOU STREETPASS IN 2023" videos is any indication you're probably not gonna get any randomly sadly... the random one i mentioned in the article was extremely unlikely but im glad i got it! thank you for enjoying my writing :)
