OK I really wanna share this since I'm excited about where this is going! I'm currently working on revising and improving the design and implementation of Tux's personal + art portfolio site. I've been taking their original site concepts/sketches and turning them into a fully built site in HTML/CSS, and adding some features/embellishments, cleaning up the design, and making it responsive. There's some really cute and cool ideas that are still to come here, and I'm just really excited to see how this turns out in the end!

Things I'm proud of here:

  • The parallax background put together from a stock vector bg with layers
  • The fade-out at the top and bottom of the content area, which makes it blend way better with the background as you scroll stuff offscreen
  • The logo
  • The little animation tux's OC makes when you hover over them :)

in reply to @Codarobo's post:

The parallax of the background is absolutely rad. I'm not so sure about making the inner content scrollable while the main body is static, but I suppose it's fine as long as it functions the same~.

... reminds me I still wanna spruce up my site's header sometime but it might require JS shenanigans...
