The slow, agonizing death of Twitter has forced me to put more thought into my relationship with social media and made me dissect what I want out of an online space.

Cohost is a place I believe in. Currently I pay for two social media sites: Cohost and Letterboxd.

Giving money to the staff makes me feel like I’m investing in a space that I want to spend time in.

The staff deserves it and that $5 a month just goes to make this place better.

I have slowly warmed up to the idea of paying for cohost, but I pulled the trigger when the news broke that Twitter was cutting grifter welfare checks to the Krassensteins and other sycophants.

This may not be everyone's destination, but I do think artists should spend a little time here to remember what it's like to post on a platform that isn't dookie blasting your brain with anxiety metrics
