Awhile I had the idea "What if I ran an espionage TTRPG campaign like The Sandbaggers but sent in a dissolved USA in the 1970s" and it's sent me down such a rabbit hole of research and fiction and worldbuilding that today I realized that I was basically writing a whole history book for this other timeline

Don't be, I'm at checks notes 276 words. But I have a ton of Wikipedia tabs open, and that basically counts as reading, and reading basically counts as writing
