in the old days you had to wear a suit and stage an elaborate gambling den using thirty or forty fellow con men and prep your mark to hand over a briefcase of 400,000 dollars using weeks of schemes, all the while faking an entire FBI investigation to throw the pursuing cop on your tail off of your tracks.
Now you just phone up some credulous sap (me) and convince them to give you their bank information (me, this happened to me) and there's no rizz, no swag to it. I'd rather return to the bar with my goons and find it a completely barren basement, no sign of any previous occupancy. I don't even think my scammer is smoking cigars with the crew right now. smh
