Back when I used to be on Twitter, I remember someone (perhaps @maxkriegervg ?) asking people about Y2K (or adjacent) aesthetic they would have encountered in media.

At the time, I remembered a news intro from an Italian television channel, but today, I found a Catalan example from 2004 (Channel 324, a news channel belonging to Catalonia's public media)

I just love it. And to complete the look, they gave their jingles a nice drum&bass feel.

So! I created an imaginary country

In this country there's television

And on television there's news, sometimes

So I wondered: "how would the news look like on this fictional TV channel from my imaginary country?"

Here's the result: a "screencap" of the 6:30pm news, featuring a split screen between an anchor and a minister
