For those unfamiliar with the fancy keyboard industry, custom keycap sets usually go through an "interest check" phase where the designer gauges interest from the community and refines the kitting, then go to "group buy" where you pay money to a vendor, then take several months to a year or two to be produced, then eventually get shipped out to people who bought it. (And then the vendors sells the extras they may have ordered from the manufacturer to other folks at a slightly higher price.)
