I was looking at local Pride events, and found a photo of someone I used to know 8-ish years ago.
He's a volunteer who helped out with my hometown's LGBTQ Youth program, which I attended for a while in high school. I very much have to thank him for being one of the first openly trans adults I ever knew - something that really helped me to understand myself and be who I am today.

But it's been so long that I had nearly forgotten him.

It feels like there's been a lot of that lately... I've moved twice in the last 3 years, never really managing to lay down any roots.
I know it's normal for people to grow apart, but when you don't find new people to fill the gap, it makes me feel really small and isolated. Like... I used to be part of a community, y'know?

Sorry if that bummed you out - I promise I'm okay, and I at least have my spouse to support me. I just really want to get better at reaching out to people.
