Basically lived in Melbourne all my life and never noticed. Love how such low-tech solutions often remain the most effective.
Sand is so useful! It can be turned into processors, used to prevent battery fires from spreading (every Apple repair shop has buckets of sand for controlling battery fires), or keep trams braking!
