A few days ago (edit: a few weeks, actually) we lost one of the most powerful forces in early video game music, Geoff Follin. Lesser known than his brother Tim, a lot of his finest work was misattributed to his brother and a lot of people don't know he wrote quite a lot of some of the best music to ever grace early game consoles. Many of these soundtracks Tim and Geoff worked on together, hand in hand, and it really shows how much love and care they both put into the craft.
Geoff also wrote quite a bit of music he uploaded to his youtube channel, which you can find here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=izpbdORahHE). Its all very good stuff, and at this point virtually no one knows about it. Give his stuff a listen and remember one of the earliest people to show that video game music could be just as much of a valid form of art as any other kind of music.
