Synopsis: In this particular AU, the team of 141 aren't soldiers but rather a band who plays all sorts of rock, obviously called 141. Price is the team manager, Nikolai is in charge of transportation and handling everyone's equipment, Alejandro and Rudy are friends of theirs who are dancers themselves and Roach is a technician who works as their effects guy and lives with the band too while the rest of the men are members of the band.
Ghost is a phenomenal drummer and sometimes, just sometimes, an extra vocalist if the lead singer Soap isn't available, Gaz is bass guitarist, Konig and Horangi are extra guitarists, and while Soap is the lead singer, he's also the main guitarist.
But despite their chosen genre of music being rock n' roll, everyone listens to different things but not Ghost. He's usually sticking to the same old 70s and 80s punk rock or classic rock depending on his mood, occasionally listening to a few songs that the others recommend to him, but he makes it clear that he dislikes any other type of music... until the day the 141 entered a new town to establish their new home as.
Their home isn't too big, but it's perfect for their equipment and such, but while the gang was busy unpacking things once the furniture came in, Ghost is stuck staring out the window at the backyard of the band's next door neighbor.
Before she could look up from what she was doing though, he walked away to finish unpacking.
Let's see what fate has in store for them.
[Chapter 1: A New Start.]
With the new arrival of the 141 to this city, moving into the large house they bought and having a lot of sound-proofing done, their new home feels much more homely once Price hung up the last picture on the wall above the cough, stepping down from standing on said couch with his hands resting on his hips.
The photo is all of them when they were first celebrating their first sold album, and while he stands there to look at it, everyone else enters the room from different doors and stand behind him, looking at the photo as well.
Not much has changed with most of the band's members wearing masks similar to the ones they wore as younger adults, except for their heights, but they have no plans in changing much.
That is when there is a soft knocking sound comes from the front door, Ghost being the first to approach it and open the door, looking down at the smaller woman. She looks up at him with a smile and holds up a box full of cookies while a freshly baked pie wrapped in tin foil rests on top.
" Welcome to our neighborhood, I'm Cristine and I've brought these as a housewarming gift. " She spoke with such bubbliness that it almost reminded Ghost of an excited kitten, who accepted the gift. " Uh... thank you, I hope we won't be too loud while we're here. "
" Oh no worries, there's other bands in the neighborhood and um... I'm an independent artist myself, so you shouldn't have to worry. I've got to hurry back home though, I still have my dinner cooking right now so enjoy! " The woman smiles before running off a bit quickly, leaving Ghost a bit dazed before he snaps back to reality and tries looking for her.
" Wait, I didn't-! "
But by then, she's already inside her house, saving her soup from burning.
Ghost sighs and closes the door, looking at the tin foil-wrapped pie before heading to the kitchen while Price approaches him. " Who was that? " Ghost looks up quickly, still being a bit dazed from the interaction before clearing his throat. " Next door neighbor, I forgot to tell her my name but I remember hers. "
" Well what is it? "
" Cristine, she said she was an independent music artist while telling me about other bands living in this neighborhood. " Ghost spoke thoughtfully, placing the pie on the table and removing the tin foil. The smell of fresh blueberry pie wafts into the room, almost taking Price by surprise as the others walk into the kitchen.
" Oh my god, that smells good. " Price is astonished as he watches Ghost take out a few plates to place slices of pie on for everyone, Gaz looking amazed.
" Who do we have to thank for this? " He speaks with a smile, looking at Ghost. " Our new next door neighbor, Cristine. " He points in the direction of where her house is. " Over there. She gave us this as a housewarming gift. "
Throughout the room, there's a brief comment of thanks towards Cristine from the men, amazed by how delicious the pie is. Even Ghost couldn't help but sigh in relief.
Maybe something new will come of this.

Later in the evening as the sun sets, everyone is in their own little world, having gotten comfortable before there's a sound of the door opening and someone walking inside. Johnny peeks from inside the kitchen, smiling. " Hey Price, didn't know you had left. "
" I am a man of talent Johnny, besides, I've only went over to thank Cristine and invite her over for dinner tonight. My treat to you all too, it's been a good while. " Price states as he hangs up his coat, strides into the kitchen and washes his hands before he jogs out of the kitchen, out of the house and picking up four bags of ingredients. " I also went shopping for ingredients. "
Soap is impressed and texts everyone, it's sort of traditional to only text everyone during the lazy hours, so as soon as he hits send, everyone looks at their phones once they all go off. Ghost picks up his phone and reads the first text.
Soap: Ay gents, Price is making dinner tonight and invited Cristine. Being the man he is, Price is going to cook alone so the kitchen is off limits.
Gaz: Thanks man
König: Anyone need any water or drinks? I got my fridge restocked again
Horangi: I have snacks too
Nik: Toss me a bottle of water
Outside the groupchat, Horangi grabs a water bottle from a medium sized refrigerator before throwing it out of the bedroom and into the other room where Nik catches it.
Nik: Many thanks
Gaz: Why can't we ever just give each other things normally?
Ghost: Still traumatized over the cymbal incident?
Gaz: YES
Soap: I still caught it, you didn't die
Roach: He still cries about it at night
Gaz: I TOLD YOU THAT IN PRIVATE
Roach: Then maybe think next time before you eat food that has my name on it!
Ghost chuckles softly in his room before putting his phone down, having been laying on his stomach on his bed this whole time. Knowing Price, he loves to start very early and take 4 or 5 hours so he gets comfortable again and dozes off again.

Intermission.

Heya, I'd like to finally tell yall about Cristine Peregrine! She's an independent music artist who also works on the side as an actual artist, her own home being her studio and art studio with her backyard having a guest house where she often spends her time making music or throwing balloons of paint at a wall.
Cristine became an independent music artist after a rough and bumpy marriage which resulted in a divorce, her finding a good job as an artist with the experimental pieces of artwork she creates but with her art taking off, she decided to dive into music as it had been the one consistent thing in her life. Her paintings were of her pain, her rage and frustration which had struck a chord with multiple other people but she wanted to create something delightful.
She has yet to find that song, as all the songs she does make are either instrumental or short samples she sells online for people to use in their own songs. Who knows, maybe she'll find that melody.
