One of my goals with Yurivania 3 is to have a more lively and lived-in world.
Here two friends, Tulip the Skeletongirl and Moondrop the Hummingbird Harpy, are setting up the Cryptic Library's outdoor booth before the Solar Eclipse Festival.
This celebration plays a central role in the story. During the course of the game you'll see folks set up the festival grounds, party, and then tear down the site.
I helped run a midsize anime con for a decade and have also volunteered at many games- and music-related events, so event organizing has become a big part of how I construct community~~
My past games have all been jam-sized and used hardly any variables.
Yurivania 3 is larger, so I figured I should check how many I've taken up.
Since GB Studio does not yet display this number nor warn you if you approach or exceed this limit, I used a JSON viewer to count my variable definitions: 710! 😲

Haven't tried this yet since it's 3.x but this plugin may make it easier to get started with tileswapping in GB Studio!
