Let's be real, you need at least 16 GB of memory nowadays.

We have been issuing 8GB MacBooks at my work and I have seen the worlds most responsible computer user (Two chrome tabs, outlook, a word doc and 1 (one) powerpoint open(all of which they actually needed)) just max out the memory on their Mac.
It's almost like multitasking is an afterthought on so many modern computers
It still beats Microsoft allowing a 4GB minimum for Windows 11. Any machine for normal boring business should have at least 12GB for any reasonable function.
