A best-of compilation of our No More Heroes LP turned up in my YouTube recommendations, I guess the algorithm knows I like to be flattered, and it's so hard to watch. I'm just so hostile to the game and everything it's doing. Is that what I thought a critical eye was in 2008? Is that what people liked?

I know people assume that when I say our most recent stuff is my favorite it's either a matter of technical improvement (sure, that mic wasn't helping anything), or an expanding understanding of harmful words and the difference between transgression and comedy; but I think I'm just better now. And I've thought that every year we've made videos, so either I'm very wrong or I've been getting steadily better for a good, long while.

I can't imagine anyone watching Kingdom Hearts Final Mix if I went in with the same tone I had for No More Heroes and actually enjoying it. I sure wouldn't.
