I make a lot of stuff but plugs are for the other site.

Just posted the end of Sex Archie's 6th season (no plug rule still in effect, you know where to look if you want it) and thinking about the weird place we've built. The fandom is all shippers. People who talk about Riverdale online are almost exclusively talking about who should smooch who, and taking out stopwatches to prove their demands are not being met. People curious about Riverdale are happy to see a headline describing each week's cliffhanger twist, react in disbelief, and not think about it for a week. I don't know what purpose our show fills beyond the fun of making it. Which is good enough reason, we'll be there to the end, but it seems that we imagined an audience who never existed.

in reply to @My-Name-is-Grant's post:

Very excited to give the ep a listen! Only started listening to Sex Archie last year but it's been a whole lot of fun, especially during this absolutely ridiculous season. I give nearly zero shits about the shipping and kinda just want to listen to some folks chat about all the wild goings-on and maybe getting some insight into comics references, so thanks to you and Alaina for doing that!

Finally got activated and my first post is this: in my case, I have watched the show since season 1 because of this podcast. I don't interact with the fandom, but I look forward to the wacky things in the show and your and Alaina's reactions to it. So, your imagined audience is there, however small it may be.
