I make a lot of stuff but plugs are for the other site.

First shot of animation: Pongo and about 100 other dogs in a title card. The whole opening credits sequence is animated for the first time.

What happened to my widescreen? We’re coming off two gorgeous CinemaScope films to slide back into 4:3 land. Probably part of the cost-cutting that replaced the inking process with xerography. The best part of the movie is generating an aesthetic around that technique, with bold, scratchy lines and background paintings made of angular blocks of color.

Cruella has infectious energy, constantly yelling and never listening. If you said her lines were recorded by an actress shouting across the street from the studio I’d believe you.

So much of this is carried on the idea that watching puppies do things is cute. Which is accurate. I apologize for saying the pound dogs from Lady and the Tramp died, at least two of them somehow made their way to London to cameo here, ahead of the 70s movies better known for reusing animation.
