I make a lot of stuff but plugs are for the other site.

First shot of animation: The rooster claiming his place as narrator, followed by the rest of the characters getting introduced like an old sitcom.

The rare Disney feature where the story is the draw. It’s a pleasant and adventurous version of the story with playground stakes. Kids even play Robin Hood while the events happen around them, it’s already a legend and a game. Compare to now when every Robin Hood is a dour action movie about righteous terrorists.

Reusing character models has a charm, it’s like a repertory cast made of drawings. But reusing animation is at its most noticeable and that sucks. Characters jump through scenes without flow as they recycle one thing after another in the forest dance. I don’t like Bedknobs and Broomsticks, I don’t want to see its action leak into other movies.

Anybody want to do a queer reading where Robin and Little John are a supportive and healthy couple, contrasted with Prince John and Sir Hiss’ dysfunction? It’s not hard.

There hasn’t been a horny human character since Slue Foot Sue decades ago, but every talking animal movie has a romance where they are clearly down bad.
