The sphinx - or Evelyn, as I've just learned is the sphinx's name - is such a profound character, one whose nature touches deeply into me. Reading each story, it sparks a yearning to meet the sphinx, and even if I could not outwit Evelyn I would give anything to be transformed by the sphinx.
