there really is nothing more infuriating than the Democratic party, huh. Like I EXPECT the fascists to be fascist, but there's something about the mealy-mouthed, sniveling, reliably useless Liberal response of the DNC (hat in hand, begging poor Americans for another $20 to give to the israeli government) that just makes you see red (pun only slightly intended). there's just no path out of This that doesn't start with wide reaching, direct, mass action, as always

I woke up on Wednesday wanting to play Red Mage in FFXIV for... basically the first time. I had previously unlocked it, gotten it to 60, and then forgotten about it. It clearly hasn't changed all that much since then, as I haven't even had to change up my hotbars. I've been having a blast the last couple of days as I slowly pick up the rhythm it demands and the possibilities it grants, and especially loving its sheer mobility for a caster class; it might even replace Machinist as my default DPS class, at this rate.

To be clear, this picture is from October, 2019. It was a combination of a costume theme and a celebration of Shadowbringers coming out earlier that year; the original title was "Balina and Dahlia become what they must". It still serves as a great point of comparison between these two dorks; Balina is stout and stubborn, Dahlia is light and skillful. Balina is my reality, Dahlia is my ideal.

I don't really think that I was specifically thinking of this image when the urge hit, more that Aisedza's been branching out a bit more over the last year, and RDM is very much a class that wants to do everything. This picture was never meant to be prophetic, but life has a funny way of making it such over time
