I've been told I'm "pocketable"

I make my own patches, sometimes draw and I like old/cute video games. I work on computers and retro handhelds/consoles

15 matchsticks are laid out in a row. Eggbug sits on the other side of the matchsticks relative to you. Three buttons can be clicked, each one causing you to take either one, two or three matchsticks from the table. Whenever you click a button, Eggbug will also remove one, two or three matchsticks from the table. If you lose the game, eggbug will encourage you to try again. If you win, eggbug becomes happy and congratulates you.
Take turns to draw one, two or three sticks from the board. Whoever has to draw the last stick loses!

This is like the Mario Party game where you pick the fruits and just like that game I lose bc I just pick numbers without thinking and refuse to

It's easy to win. Eggbug gets a mean look when they think they have a guaranteed win. They get a scared look when they think you have a move that wins the game.

Let it beat you a few times, changing up your moves each time. Don't play any move that gave eggbug a win (in the previous game).

I beat it. I don't even know what moves I played, I just memorized a path through the matchsticks that maximized eggbug's fear

I won the first attempt, and then purposefully let eggbug have a win.

Tbf, I’ve read the theory about The Game of Nim and know the strategy since it’s in a few of my favorite games at various points in time (Super Mario RPG, Mario Party, probably a few flash games growing up).
