I've been told I'm "pocketable"

I make my own patches, sometimes draw and I like old/cute video games. I work on computers and retro handhelds/consoles

I got them so they're all ready to play and output to hdmi

  • The Saturn and Master System are connected via rgb scart cables to an open source scan converter
  • Genesis games are being handled by the Analogue SG which has native hdmi until I can make the repairs to my Sega CD and find the cables for that and my Genesis
  • The Dreamcast has a vga box called the Akura that actually outputs to hdmi instead of vga

for obvious reasons it's not going to look as good in the picture but in person it's clear and vibrant :)

So when I got my dreamcast I was lucky to get it with the ethernet modem, the store I got it from apparently either didn't know it was the ethernet version or didn't know those are rare (they even did the classic "refurbished" error where they over tightened the screws on the a/v port making it not display image or sound)

Years before I transitioned I was obsessed with getting retro consoles upscaled to HD and I got this "vga" box called the Akura by the Behar Bros that outputs into hdmi instead of vga. The interesting thing about this is that it actually displays a 480p hdmi signal that the tv then upscales on it's own, usually having the tv upscale isn't ideal but in this case the image is still clean and it makes things like a solution to convert the vga to hdmi outside the box and a way to connect the audio as vga doesn't output sound.

Here's the link if you wanted something like this it works really well for me :)
