I've been told I'm "pocketable"

I make my own patches, sometimes draw and I like old/cute video games. I work on computers and retro handhelds/consoles

STOP AI UPSCALING OLD TV SHOWS

HIGH RESOLUTIONS WERE NOT MEANT TO LOOK NICE

THEY'RE MEANT TO CAPTURE EVERY FLAW IN THE ORIGINAL FILM STOCK OR VIDEO

EMBRACE SHITTY TECHNOLOGY

i want my shit to look exactly like it would've on a tiny crt with no indication of digital compression and that's it

As someone who has been watching a lot of classic standard definition tv it looks good as long as it was properly encoded. People only think SD looks bad because they’re used to the low bitrate version of something uploaded to YouTube 12 years ago after being rencoded 3+ times or they’re thinking of super compressed cable.

Nothing needs to be ‘fixed’ by AI here

One of the reasons I started collecting laserdiscs is that I'll often get the film scratches, grain, and cue marks that are removed from later editions of films. The physicality of film is part of those old movies for me.
