I have so many questions, did Tumblr/Automattic build a whole UI on top of WordPress so users can still use Tumblr-type features on their WordPress-powered blogs?!
I make my own patches, sometimes draw and I like old/cute video games. I work on computers and retro handhelds/consoles

surely a huge structural change like this is gonna cause a wide variety of weird issues across the board
inb4 some absolutely insane shit like they accidentally re-enable the glitch that let you edit the posts you were reblogging or every post from before 2016 gets its metadata obliterated or something
Man, I don't even trust WP to securely host a website, let alone an entire social media platform.
i mean, there are a bunch of websites still using WordPress as their CMS. every so often i like to look at the source of a blog/website and sure enough wp-content is there
yeah but i mean like, blog blogs, not sites/stores. the kind of thing Tumblr mostly replaced by stealing all the audience attention from lol
If only you were right and WordPress wasn't so pervasive that it was in graphic design curricula :(
