REALLY hate to see people decide for themselves that because a racist meme gets some popularity outside of its place of origin they can then compartmentalize it away from that racism.

Locked shares to feel a little less anxious. I just want to get off my chest that this sucks. Like, idk if I'm being unreasonable somehow, but I don't think you can rehabilitate the fucking "glown***er" meme.
out of context i thought this was about the "two wolves" meme. good to know there are far more racist things i could possess knowledge of
it's one of those... pop-spiritualism story-memes that often gets attributed to originating from Native American tribes (most commonly Cherokee, or sometimes not even with any particular tribe at all) seemingly to invoke that Native Magic™ for added authenticity. In reality it was most likely originating from Christian ministers in the 60's, probably most prominently popularized by Billy Graham.
though you can't separate it from its history, at least the racism in it is less... well, intrinsic to the core meme. nothing a heaping dose of irony can't mask over.
