Very much enjoyed this read and found that I would get sucked in and read a few chapters at a time as I was reading it. I think the art style lends itself incredibly well to the story that is being told . The artist's use of lighting is superb and carries the tone of a bunch of scenes really well. It's got a good mix of silly and serious in a setting where there is a mix of fantasy magic and sci-fi technology. Nimona's insistence on being a villain contrasts nicely with Blackheart's character. I think Goldenloin could have stood to be fleshed out more, but he works well as an antagonist and a stand-in for the power structures that Nimona and Blackheart fight against. This book really hammers home the feelings that come about living a life as a shapeshifter. Oh, and there's a lot of dragons too! Can't lie that I was excited whenever that came up. Overall a solid graphic novel!
