L-Gaim Mk II - Heavy Metal L-Gaim (1984)
Designed By: Mamoru Nagano
Say Mk II!
It's the L-Gaim Mk II! Great looking machine, I love Nagano's insides for it, especially the face having the eyes and spinal cord, as well as all the cables on the back of the head. I always adore inner mechanical detail, and Nagano never disappoints in giving me a good mix of pistons and mechanical bits alongside parts that feel organic.
Especially when accounting for the shoulder binders, the L-Gaim Mk II also gives a very good silhouette, it's a very vertically tall friend. While a few machines use the buster launcher, it just fits exceptionally well with the look of the Mk II imo.
A few more images. We have another image of the buster launcher equipped to it, complete with the cables plugged into the waist. Some good close ups of the head, the transformation sequence, and finally, my Real Robot Revolution 1/100th L Gaim Mk II hanging out with my customized MG Zaku II, which is also in 1/100th. Mostly just to illustrate, the Mk II is a tall friend.
