Novel D.Seerd - Heavy Metal L-Gaim (1984)

Designed By: Mamoru Nagano

This friend is good, as sort of a predecessor in form at least to the Gaplant from Zeta Gundam. You just can't go wrong with large arm binders that mount weapons on them imo. They are good every time. The very knightly helmet is also a neat touch, continuing Nagano's streak of jsut having really good head designs.

Ga-Zowmn Marine Type - Advance of Zeta Reboot (2014)

Designed by: Kenki Fujioka

A weird friend that is made from some weird ideas. So, at a glance, it looks more like a hygogg, but it does contain a bit of the Ga-Zowmn DNA in its design. The legs and the way it transforms are pretty similar to the normal Ga-Zowmn, but the shapes of a lot of the parts themselves are changed to resemble standard Zeon underwater MS aesthetic.

The heads are also interesting, the first head is similar to a Z'gok, the second and third are both more unique, really small monoeye heads, though obviously the second has a commander antennae attached. Overall just a really cool design though, like all the weird Mars Zeon aquatic suits in AOZ Reboot, and even more broadly, just all Zeon aquatic suits in general.

Vic Viper - Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner (2003)

Designed By: Yoji Shinkawa

Vic Viper! A fun orbital frame, one of the few if only ones with a transformation? And tbh not a terrible one, I am not the biggest fan of transformable mecha's vehicle forms (even if I usually think the robots still look good) but appropriately, it looks like a shmup fighter. Which, you know. It's Vic Viper, it kinda has to. But shmup fighters aesthetic is good for mecha to turn into imo.
