I want a retro cassette future so bad
cassette players and floppy disks were so cool to me as a kid
I was born right as CDs were completing their market takeover, but also before cassettes and floppy disks had been fully kicked out of mainstream use. The tactile nature of those devices always have a nostalgic vibe to me, even as someone who barely spent any time as a functioning child with them around me. I feel similarly about VHSes and VCRs, although those lasted until i was at least 7 or 8 and DVDs started to take hold. What a time...
