So I have been playing Pokemon Violet as a birthday gift, and I have a few observations:
1- The game mostly runs fairly smooth now; I only encountered one instance where the framerate drop lasted more than just a brief moment.
2- The measures taken to keep the game running smooth still results in fairly jarring framerate speeds for background elements
3- I adore the freedom the game has provided me-- and seeing SO MANY different 'mons right at the start is a lovely change of pace from the like. handful of pidgeys and bidoofs and ratatta from past experiences.
4- Opponent level curves are. Baffling. I just stumbled into an area full of level 50 pokemon after taking on a gym where the highest level was maybe... 30? And then the Team Star encampment I ran into after was like. level 20? I guess that's what I get for bouncing all over the map.
5- I am always delighted to see a Little Guy TM
