people who don't like Wuk Lamat are just plain wrong.
she's a bit goofy, and inexperienced in the world, but she's genuinely kind and cares about the well being of everyone she meets. How can I not love a character who, despite her stumbles, isn't afraid to ask for help and to try to make the world as best as she can?
What are her haters looking for? another city state begging the warrior of light to save them? to gather all sorts of ridiculous things for them to build a save the world machine that will eventually fall to the WoL to use? Do they want a character that is quiet, and unassuming, and is smart and leaves everything to her new overpowered friend from across the seas? Are they looking for a character that solves things on their own so their warrior of light can finally have a vacation, despite the fact that it would be a pretty shitty premise for an expansion? Like. What's the beef with Wuk Lamat?? Have you no joy in your life?
