one-shot TTRPG where every time you would roll for a challenge, you roll on a complex series of tables to determine a new element of your character's elaborate and lengthy backstory
whether you succeed or not is determined by whether you can convince the other players that this new backstory is relevant to what you're doing
works slightly different but D Vincent Baker's Dogs in the Vineyard is kind of like that! you can spontaneously grow new stats or boost existing ones because your stats are all relationships with other people so if you can convince the other players that the argument you had with your dad before you moved out at 16 is relevant to the challenge at hand you can use those dice for it too
and when a challenge is over, if it's reached a certain level of stakes while processing it, you get a new stat for it
