somewhere along the line, video games stopped entertaining me as a fun pastime. I don't care about big trailers and most of the time I can't bring myself to play multiplayer games with my online friends.

they turned into a compulsive activity I do to fill time or to avoid thinking about things I need to do. I cut way, way back on my game time. now I have to find something to replace that time with that will nourish me. feels like I spent the last few years living on empty calories.

idk I struggle to process this because video games were a constant in my life, from childhood to present. I used them to make friends and understand myself. but it's not something that feels possible any more.
