Messaging platform X, formerly known as Twitter, has sued media watchdog group Media Matters for defamation after it published a report claiming that ads for major brands appeared next to posts promoting Nazism. The report led to several advertisers, including IBM and Comcast, pulling their ads from the platform. X's CEO, Linda Yaccarino, assured employees that the company is committed to fighting antisemitism and discrimination. Media Matters President, Angelo Carusone, argued that X's safety protections were not effectively preventing ads from appearing next to harmful content.
