Former U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger has died at the age of 100. Kissinger, known for his influential role in American foreign policy during the Nixon and Ford administrations, was both praised and criticized for his actions. He played a key role in the United States' withdrawal from Vietnam and in establishing relations with China. Kissinger also pursued diplomatic efforts in the Middle East and the Soviet Union and received the Nobel Peace Prize. Throughout his life, he remained active in global affairs and continued to offer advice on foreign policy. Kissinger's death has prompted tributes from prominent U.S. officials. However, he also faced controversy and criticism for his policies, including wiretapping and the bombing of Cambodia. Despite this, Kissinger maintained that his decisions were made in the best interest of the United States. He was born in Germany and fled the country with his family during the Nazi regime. Kissinger is survived by his two children.
