something i think is funny about Minecraft is how at a certain point in the game, diamonds become pretty much meaningless. You make your gear, a set of armor and tools, slap Mending on them, and you never really need diamonds again. There's barely any crafting recipes that use them, and you don't really use them for building either aside from at most ocassional accent blocks maybe.
But still, when you're mining or caving, you still get excited about getting diamonds, even if its just out of habit. It's fun to pile up a lot of diamonds. It's a cool flex, even if it's entirely useless.
But you do you know what's also a flex, difficult to accumulate in large quantities, and useless, but that I never see anyone flexing about? Having an entire double chest of horse armor
