i see cohost's lack of a mobile app being brought up as a criticism a lot but like the site genuinely works super well in mobile browser. everyone just assumes that its gonna be shit cause every other major website doesnt optimize for browser so they can sell you their app so you cant use browser extensions on them and block ads. but thats a problem with those sites and not mobile browsers. you can make perfectly functional sites for mobile browsers if you actually try

I feel like a lot of people tend to just kind of assume if there's no app that mobile web won't even be an option? Which I feel like, yeah, a lot of really bad social media mobile websites have trained people to assume it won't be an option right away.

I think the only issue for mobile right now is that the menu isn't collapsible and it takes up the entire front page. You don't get a first glance at the posts when you open Cohost
