been spending a lot of time in the last 3 days on the full Dreamcast Knuckles level sweep. Just hours and hours of exiting the stage and leaving again, until you roll the correct RNG, and probably aging the console's disc drive by 10 years in the process. The Dreamcast version only has had its fully separate leaderboards for like half a year, so for the longest time there was no incentive of going for these records on this version specifically, when the DX version would have been faster and more accessible. There were however standing records on most of these leaderboards by one of the very og runners from all the way back from 2006/2007, that no one since has tried to beat. They were actually extremely well executed for how old they were and beyond having to grind for the RNG took a lot more effort to beat than I had expected
