in reply to @atomicthumbs's post:

I realized recently that making new pages can be just as much about what content you're putting out as what content you're bringing in.

Besides the (albeit large) amount of energy to follow a ton of people outside your bubble and the (pretty small) amount of energy to switch to that profile when you're seeking more content, there doesn't seem to me like there's much of an obstacle to get that more-global feed

Sorry about that! Lemme try again: I follow a bunch of people on this page (@graham), and then a completely different set of mostly artists on another page I own (@graham-illustrations). When I want to see art, I can just go look at that timeline. I think this is kind of like how you could make a page like @atomicthumbs-global and just follow every account you see until you got a little bit beyond your current circle. That said, I get that it might be more work than you'd want to get all that set up nicely

yeah we're definitely considering something like this (not necessarily a global feed, but some way to see a random selection of posts you wouldn't see otherwise), we want to make sure we're doing it in some way that doesn't make posting feel too panopticon-y though

right now, there's nothing stopping us from all tagging all our posts with #panoptipost or something to build a site-wide "global feed" before anything actually gets implemented. The power is in our hands :eggbug:
