fun fact, in the TV edit, instead of being forced to walk through harlem with a racist slur on his sandwich board, McClane is forced to walk through harlem with a sandwich board saying "i hate everyone" but it's still treated the same by the movie, suggesting everybody is going to be so fed up with the whole misanthropy shtick that his life will be in danger
