search tags! Look at #welcome to cohost and tags for other things you like. Ask people you know for their cohost handle. Look at your notifications to see if you recognize names.
hello! aye, i see it's a bit more muted, and in a way i think it will be interesting to see the dynamics of social networking within these constraints.
ty for explaining!
It's not-so-much like, intentional constraints so much as this is a very new website and the developers are still adding features. There are only three developers and so it takes time to add new features. There are a lot of plans for increased discoverability in the works. For now, we just have searching for names and searching for tags.
Not being able to look at everyone who someone else follows, though, is an intentional privacy feature. In general hiding numbers is a part of the ethos.
aye, glad to see it explicitly -- it did feel purposeful, and i was deff intrigued. merci!
the names to the right of ๐ when people share posts provide some minor ability to do that; it shows one link back in the chain of who previously shared that post
heheh, clearly some folks i could just copy/pasta their twitter handles and see where that goes :)
ty for the advice, will follow that!
my approach has simply been to a) gather cohost follows outside of this site and b) to post and i've found some cool people and also some familiar faces by doing exactly that! its nice
Yeah, i do wish they exposed follow networks the way Twitter does, it's one of my gripes. Hopefully they'll consider adding that feature at some point!
