yeah but it's very clear, they're same length fibers and everywhere, plastic fibers in general flouresce purple-blue but only a few fabric dyes do ime
can you say more about the air purifier thing please? i have a couple that run all the time...
it just means the shedding load of my clothes is higher than what the air purifier is removing, since it should be getting most of the dust suspended in the air

edit: oh the "inadvisably" part is mostly that it's been the same purifier running constantly for 7 years and really sounds like it
